As we journey through this year’s harvest season, we pause to deepen our faith and reconnect with God in a special way. The Harvest Retreat at the Catholic Church of the Assumption, Falomo, Ikoyi will take place on Wednesday, 12 November, and Thursday, 13 November 2025.
This retreat is more than a parish activity; it is a sacred time to reflect on God’s goodness, prepare spiritually for the grand harvest celebrations, and renew our personal relationship with Him.
Over the two days, parishioners will be invited into:
- Spirit-filled talks and reflections
- Guided prayers and moments of silence before the Lord
- The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)
- Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
- Holy Mass
The retreat is an opportunity for us to lay aside our daily distractions and open our hearts to the grace of God. As Jesus tells us, “Come away by yourselves to a quiet place and rest a while” (Mark 6:31). In these days of prayer, we find strength, healing, and peace as individuals and as a parish family.
We encourage everyone — children, youth, adults, and families — to participate in this retreat. Let us gather in faith and prepare ourselves to give thanks to God with pure and joyful hearts during the harvest.
